The Easy Way To Teach Your Kids To Tie Shoes

Now that my son is entering 2nd grade, I am doing a checklist on things to increase in independence..and being able to tie his own shoes is on of those milestones.  But being teaching a kid to tie their own shoes can be one of the most difficult things to teach EVER! So after several failed attempts at trying to teach the “bunny ears” method and the “wrap around method” I had all but given up.  But not until come across this awesome SHOE TYING HACK.

Don’t reach for the Velcro just yet – here’s the world’s most useful life hack – how to tie shoelaces in two seconds. Below is a video of my husband teaching our boys using the technique.

???? Teach your child to tie shoes in UNDER 5 minutes: ???????????????? ???????????? ???? Step 1. Cross the laces like normal ???? Step 2. (Right Hand) Put your thumb & first finger in front of lace – fingers facing you / (Left Hand) Put your thumb & first finger behind lace – fingers facing away from you ???? Step 3. Pull your fingers forwards so you feel some tension and twist so that your fingers are facing each other ???? Step 4. Pull through nice and tight ???? Step 5. You are done!! ????????
