Remember my post leading up to my overnight stay at the Kalahari Resorts with the family? Well, the day finally came and today I’m going to share with you some pics of our family fun weekend and wait….there’s a giveaway at the end! Yep!
In just under 2 hours from New York we were greeted with the beautiful scenery of the Kalahari Resorts and Convention at Poconos Mountains, PA.
As you drive up the to the long driveway you are greeted by a safari themed hotel entrance. We took a few moments to walk around the grounds and the lobby to appreciate all that this resort had to offer. And it was beyond breathtaking. Not wanting to miss out on the the waterpark fun we decided to drop off our bags in the room so that we could change into our bathing suits. (Note: Don’t fret if your room isn’t ready upon check in, there are plenty of locker rooms and or changing rooms areas for you and the family to change into your water attire). Our room was big enough for my family of 4 (it can even hold up to 6). We had two beds and a pull out couch. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a microwave, mini fridge and a coffee maker. So with a quick tour of the room, we got dressed and headed to the waterpark…isn’t that the reason we are even here? All rooms are keyless (which is great, cause who really likes carrying those pesky room cards??), so with the use of your wristband (that has all of your personal check in information) you are able to open your room doors, pay for food and get immediate access to the waterpark. Now that we were changed into our bathing suits we were finally ready for some water fun! And we ALL had a BLAST, yes even I did! With 100,000 square feet of wet & wild indoor fun we were able to splish splash all day long in the newest of America’s largest indoor waterparks. While it was Columbus Day weekend and the hotel was at 90% occupancy, it felt like we had the entire waterpark to ourselves. We never waited more than a few minutes for a slide. We were able to go back to back on every single slide. It was the most fun I had in years.
Wait for it! Wait for it! @kalahariresorts #LoveKalahariPA #splashsafari

The kids could’ve spent the entire evening at the waterpark, but it was time to fill our bellies!
And of course no vacation wouldn’t be complete without a little dessert… and boy does Kalahari Resorts offer up some sweet options!

Quality time spent together, talking, laughing, loving…
Family bonding time is doing activities together as a family where you get to learn a little more about each other.
the meaning of family time is no cellphones and just being at home.
Family bonding time is finding a fun activity that both my son and daughter can agree on.
Having fun! laughing! Make memories!
Being unplugged and connecting through play!
Just spending quality time with family
spending quality time together – talk, go on adventures, have fun too
We love just being together whether that is watching a movie, swimming, or reading.
Doing things we like together and having fun.
A place where we can all go and have fun like the Kalahari Resort, is my kind of family bonding! 🙂
Family bonding to me is doing anything together. Sometimes family bonding is doing a project that maybe challenging but brings everyone together to achieve a goal.
It seems that the kids enjoyed your Kalahari resort trip. For me that’s the most important thing, to make sure that everyone will have fun during vacation or getaways. In these images of yours, it really shows that you’re all having the time of your lives. Thanks for sharing your story and keep having a quality time with family always.
