The week of August 1st thru 7th is World Breastfeeding Week, organized by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action.
As a first time BF mother, it was a challenge for both me and my lil one, with heavy let-down and chapped nipples, I did not think that I was able to continue feeding my baby this way. However, I am proud to say that while its been 7 months, I could not have it any other way. Not only is this truly a bonding experience but, an advantage for a healthier start in my babies life.
The 2010 WABA campaign focuses on “Just 10 Steps—the Baby Friendly Way” showcasing the 10 steps hospitals and other maternity care providers need to do to encourage breastfeeding.
