Do you remember last year’s Dr. Seuss preschool project? Well, since the kids and I had such a blast celebrating all things Dr. Seuss, we just had to keep the tradition going. So in honor of our most recent favorite Dr. Seuss tale, we decided on The Lorax — check out this easy and most treasured arts and craft project to date.
This is a super easy project that took less than 10 minutes. You just need some yellow construction paper (this is for the mustache) and some googly eyes (I used the peel and stick wiggle eyes), orange paper plates (for the face) and pom poms for the nose (I used assorted ones for fun) and of course glue and scissors.
Trace your little ones hands on the yellow piece of paper and cut out.
Attach the hand prints to the paper plate so they make The Lorax mustache. Attach the eyes.
Add The Lorax’s little nose – Yes, The Lorax has an orange nose, but I thought it’ll be cute if the kids went a little creative on that part.
Seriously easy – seriously cute!! I love that I can now collect the kids handprints throughout the years with this Dr Seuss project.
Hopefully you have fun making them too and will start a little collection of your own!
What a cute craft! I think I enjoyed The Lorax more than my sons did, but this is still a fun activity to try with them.
