With the holidays right around the corner it can be a dilemma on what to bake for your next family gathering. But don’t fret, here is a easy breezy recipe especially for you non-cooks.

Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, my (now late) mother-in-law would make these yummy pecan tea cups, which she honorably called “Ginny’s Tea Cups”. So when I was given the recipe soon after she had passed, I made sure to carry on the tradition each and every holiday. And trust me, not a piece of crumb is left behind.

Ginny’s Tea Cups

Ingredients:

Dough:
1 – stick of margarine or butter
1 – cup of flour
1- 3 oz cream cheese

Filling:
1- cup brown sugar (packed or loose)
1- egg
1- ½ tbsp of soft butter
1 – tbsp vanilla
1 – cup pecans or walnuts

Serves 27-30

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl, cream softened butter and cream cheese. Add flour. Mix well. Chill dough for 20-30 minutes. Divide dough into fourths and then roll each into six balls. Place one ball in each cup of a mini tart pan. Use your fingers or a tart tamper to press out into a tart shell.

In medium bowl, combine egg, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and pecans or walnuts. Mix well. Fill tart shells 2/3 full. Bake for 25-30 minutes until delicately browned. Allow to cool for 10 minutes and then remove from pan. Sprinkle with powered sugar.

Super easy, right?  Make yours this holiday season and tell me what you think.

Kylie Minogue’s new CD The Abbey Road Sessions features sixteen tracks, all radically reworked, spanning Kylie’s incredible twenty-five-year career. It was recorded in London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios with Kylie’s band and a full orchestra. The album features many of Kylie’s best-known hits and previously unreleased tracks. Over all sixteen tracks, one thing becomes very clear—stripped of her high-end pop production, the emotional resonance of Kylie’s songs has never been clearer, and her voice has never sounded better.

Fan or not, trust me this is indeed a stocking stuffer this holiday season.  Kylie showcases her voice instead of relying on the dance rhythms that have always been so integral to her style.   I especially love Track # 9 titled Slow and of course everyone’s favorite dance track Locomotion (track #10) and Can’t Get You Out Of My Head (track #11).  Kylie’s voice puts you in a mood unlike no other singer on this CD.

Kylie is a breast cancer survivor and donates her time to American Cancer Society, as well as amFAR for AIDS research.

Kylie’s latest single “Flower” is a song she wrote several years ago following her battle with breast cancer, to the child she wishes she might one day still have.

This album surprised me…In good way.  If you are looking for something new to add to your CD collection then this is it..it’ll put you in different mood, if you are having one of those days. A mellow, relaxing, lovely mood.

So, exclusively for you, listen to the album sampler below.

This morning ShopStyle greeted their customers with a brand new look, which is a great improvement on what they had before.  It now has a sleek, stylist and current look.  The Home Page shows you a section called FEATURED LOOK as well as a new eye catching category entitled BRANDS WE LOVE, this section includes fresh arrivals from some of your favorite high-end designers. The website redesign is now wider, taking up the entire screen on my laptop. The thumbnails also doubled in size, which I find very convenient.

Here’s a screen shot.
The individual product page has been redesigned as well, with large pictures occupying the center of the page on the brand website with descriptions and sizes appearing on the right.

This redesign includes exciting new features such as the social drawer to easily access all of your favorites and related looks!

So all in all, we LOVE the redesign.  We love that this is a site for unique luxury merchandise and its a one stop shop, you and the entire family.  We also liked the nice clear photos of the clothes from all side that look realistic.

42-year old, KYMBERLY MARCIANO has traveled the world in her years as a model for over a decade and now as a LA-based photographer for children and adolescent and with her extensive philanthropic work we wonder to ourselves  “I don’t know how she does it”.  Mom of four, Marciano, has contributed to campaigns and editorials for brands such as Ralph Lauren, Guess Kids, The Children’s Place, Vogue Bambini and most recently Babiekins Magazine.

I recently had the privilege of chatting it up with this busy mom (from ages 18, 17, 14 and 6) post her most recent project as the official photographer during New York City’s Petite Parade Kids Fashion Week.

Below are excerpts from a conversation with Marciano about her passion, inspiration for work and how exactly she manages it all.

MOMMY POSH: Congrats on being the official photographer at the Petite Parade Kids Fashion Show. Heard it was a huge success.

KYMBERLY MARCIANO: Thank you, it was busy backstage, shooting every single collection of every designer, I didn’t even make it out to the show…I have never done anything like this before..I live in LA, we don’t have anything like this.

MP: Working with kids can be a little challenging, how are able to control the kids or your environment?

KM: I have to attribute that to my work as a model, I think my experience in that world helps and also being a momma for so long certainly helps.  With my oldest one being 18, I think I understand what they are going through and not being able to letting them get away with everything is a must.  Just like with your owns kids, I use “pinky swears”.

I have the best job, I love shooting kids, tweens and kids and getting them ready to go off on their journey.

Eating healthy, drinking enough water are key, if your parenting is in check then its easily to delve in the creative.

MP: What inspires your photos?

KM: Life inspires me.  I love life, color and ambiance.  Ambiance is really important to me, it can get rowdy or whimsical. Anything goes.

MP: So you would say your job is relatable since you are a mom as a well as a model?
