We are already 10 days into the new year and I am still trying to go strong with my fitness goals.  So moms, don’t feel that you are alone…simply try carving out 15 minutes everyday and try these multitasking moves that will tone, strengthen and work out those hard to reach areas.

July-2012-100-copy

Before I had children I never had to worry about what I was going to have for breakfast or for a quick snack.  I worked in midtown Manhattan and there was a huge selection for me to choose from at anytime of the day.  Unfortunately, once you have a 4 year old, a 1 year old, and a husband, the days of not thinking ahead about meals is a luxury you really can’t afford.  If you aren’t careful you end up at the drive-thru more than you should, you skip meals, or you get stuck in a routine that makes meal time boring.  Let’s be honest if you are boring with your food your children will be bored right along with you.  I have learned that as a mom on the go it’s sometimes hard finding ways to incorporate healthy snacks in my kids diet.

I have gotten in the habit of combining a few Kellogg’s cereals in a to-go bowl to make sure my son has a quick snack during the day at school or something to much on in the car.   I like to use Kellogg’s Crispix, Kellogg’s Corn Pops, and Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats.  These three create a nice selection of crunchy, tasty goodness that my son loves to eat.  Not only does my son enjoy to snack down on these little treats, I have found myself and husband also digging in for a quick bite.  It’s amazing how something so simple can fill you up and make you feel satisfied – this keeps me from the cookies, candies, and fries.

When you think about a week with a family of four you are talking about 28 meals a week plus snacks.  Kellogg’s takes some of the guess work out of my week and makes me comfortable knowing that I am giving my family a healthy alternative to snack on.  As an added bonus you just pop in some milk and you have yourself a quick on the go breakfast.  This is great for me for days I don’t get time to eat a breakfast at home before driving my son to school.  It’s amazing how something so simple can keep your day on track.  I will even put a bowl of Crispix in my husband’s bag so he can be sure to eat breakfast at work.  He is at his desk a lot and when he misses breakfast he usually ends up with pizza or fast food for lunch.  So, a simple meal to go lets my family get off to a great start every day.  Check out great start tips, advice and cool recipes from Team Kellogg’s and #GreatStarts here.

COACH4

If you’re anything like me, you love designer bags, but hate the cost! As an admitted Coach snob, I’m always looking for a good deal on my favorite brand. Coach bags are high-quality, looks gorgeous, and last forever. A Coach bag in a department store can cost several hundred dollars and store coupons typically exclude the Coach brand entirely.
