Exactly what the doctor ordered just in time for flu season…a warm, delicious bowl of soup.  So long before the “Soup Nazi” Seinfeld episode, The Original SoupMan, Al, had lines out the door at Al’s Legendary NYC store located in the heart of NYC.  So when I was asked to review the The Original SoupMan world famous soups to Celebrate National Soup Month I couldn’t wait to devour. Was great about this BPA free brand, is not only can it be served as a meal, but can be combined with other ingredients for a delicious, new recipe. Just check out the  individual packages for recipe suggestions.

If you are looking for soup that is a convenience, you have to try this  ‘heat and serve’ soup. Plus, you don’t need a can opener!

The family and I tried the Chicken Noodle Soup and we give it two thumbs up for a heat and serve soup.  This has to have been the most unique tasting chicken noodle I’ve tasted in a long time!  As I found it very tasty and delish, my husband on the other hand found is a little bit spicy, as he is adverse to flavors.

On these cold winter days and nights and especially cold and flu season, this might just be a tasty and convenient way for you to still have a hearty meal with out a lot of fuss.

I am thrilled to see celeb moms admitting that being a mom brings out their sexiness, but does it have to be so smack in your face?!

Mom to Baby Blue Ivy, Beyonce recently gyrated and thrusted with a flimsy thong at the 2014 Grammy’s with her hubby Jay Z to her new single “Drunk In Love“, but as a mom why did I feel a little bit uncomfortable, not only for the fact that this was NSFTV, but as a mom, I heard myself scream “put some damn clothes on!”

As a mom, I need a well balance meal to start my day to keep my mind sharp. Waking up every morning with an already built to do list you can’t worried about hunger cravings.  I have to get two kids up,  baby changed, both kids dressed, and fed so I can drop my oldest off to school.  Now if I need to fuel up with a solid breakfast of Kellogg’s Special K you know my four year old will also need to fuel his system to get ready to be sharp at school.  As a four year old he is tempted by all kinds of toys and games before he gets his first snack of the day and if he isn’t satisfied with his breakfast he won’t be focused.  I want to make sure I give my son the best opportunities to get the most out of his day and this is whay I send him on his way with a full belly of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies.

feedthemindSo if you are looking for a way to staying focus throughout the day then try out Tip #27: Staying Focus from the Tips for a Great Start series from Team Kellogg’s.

So filling my toddler up with a heavy sugary breakfast and juice is simply not an option.  You have to feed the body in order to feed the mind, and that starts with a healthy breakfast.  You always hear the say you get out of your body what you put into it and I believe Rice Krispies and Special K help us to get a lot of good out of our mornings.  These little things – and it doesn’t take a lot to give yourself and child a good breakfast – really do create a nice base for everything that goes on throughout the day.  I want my son to use his time in school to learn, use his imagination, and grow as a person.

The morning of Lil T’s first birthday, I was sad and lonely…not only was I sad that my youngest was now considered a toddler, but this was the day that I deemed the last day of breastfeeding – forever.

Since my husband and I decided not to extend our family anymore and knowing that Lil T was going to be my last baby, I felt the need to go the extra mile with him.  Savoring every moment was simply an understatement. And breastfeeding was simply the easiest way of not letting go.

Small Business Big Game kicked off July 31 and had tens of thousands of small businesses enter for the chance to win more than $25 million in rewards and offers to help them succeed. Then the field was narrowed to just 20 that Intuit’s 8,000 employees around the globe voted on to determine the top four finalists. Now with only a few days to go before the Super Bowl it is time to decide which of the four lucky finalists will get a featured sport during the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Of the four finalists up for the huge top prize I am a fan of Barley Labs out of Durham, NC.  As a stay at home mom raising two boys you look for opportunities to build something of your own without giving up being a mom.  In this case it is a couple that started a dog treat business from their house from the left over grain from a home brewing hobby.  They don’t have a big factory, commercial kitchen, or staff and they are striving to make a small passion a success.  My husband and I can relate to that because we would love to be able to develop this site and several other family friendly sites into a successful network that would allow us to have the freedom to raise our family without being tied to a corporate clock.

I wish Barley Labs th ebest of luck this week along with the other three finalsts.  Even if they don’t win all four finalists do receive a nice little prize package to help their business grow.

In addition to vying for the ultimate prize, all four businesses score big no matter what outcome. As finalists they will receive:

  • Free, lifetime use of Intuit small business solutions, including Intuit QuickBooks, payroll and payments.
  • Professionally produced advertising for their business.
  • A meeting and business advice from entrepreneur and reality star Bill Rancic.
  • An all-expense paid trip to New York for a big game viewing party held in their honor.

More information on the top four is available on the Small Business Big Game website at www.SmallBusinessBigGame.com.  To join the Small Business Big Game social conversation, share on Facebook and Twitter using #TeamSmallBiz. Full rules are available at www.SmallBusinessBigGame.com/rules/
