In a recent post, I talked about lessons learned about being a first time mom, so after 16 months of raising Lil B, my “Sex and The City” life seems like a distant memory…

So in honor of Mother’s Day, here are 5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT BEING A MOM – do you have a similar list??

1-Everyday is a new day. My how we take things for granted.  Seeing everything new from my son’s eyes is like I too am experiencing it for the very first time.  My son loves bird watching.  So our daily trips to the Greenburgh Nature Center is the highlight of my son’s day.  By reading up on the different types of birds not only am I teaching my son something new but, I too am learning.  Whenever my son hears a bird fluttering around his window he immediately perks up, points to the window and screeches with delight.  It’s these little things that I realize how profoundly my world view had changed.

2- Unconditional love. Sorry hubby but nothing can compare to the love one has for their kids.  To love unconditionally simply means that parents accept their children completely and without restrictions or stipulations. And of course the power of unconditional love makes our children strong. View Post

New mom Mariah Carey is enjoying her first couple of days of motherhood, and she’s sharing the experience with her twitter family.  Mariah and Nick Cannon welcomed their twins (a boy and a girl) on their anniversary (April 30)…ahhh, can’t you just feel the love?

“I wish I could personally thank all those around the world who continue 2 send congrats+prayers for #dembabies! they’re doing great,” Mariah tweeted, adding, “And they are the most incredible gifts we could ever have imagined!”

As her fans eagerly await the announcement of the babies’ names, which Carey says is coming very soon, she offered us a hint:  “both begin w/M’s!!!!”

Any guesses?

With older brother, Prince William tying the knot to Kate Middleton on April 29, Prince Harry,26, has become the next eligible bachelor in a blink of a eye. Pairing him with Kate’s younger sister, Pippa, 27, has caused a media frenzy in hopes that the two will soon hook up.  But before we begin the love match, Pippa has to stand in line.

Prince Harry is too cute for words…and he may just like older women..so with the help from a computer imaging software – Make Me Babies! I decided to see what our babies would look like if Prince Harry and I (yes, a girl can dream) would ever hook up (shhh, don’t tell my husband).

Using pictures of Prince Harry and I and the help of Make Me Babies!, a site that analyzes facial structure to predict what babies would look like, I was able to find accurate simulations.

What do you think about my little new baby Prince Harry, Jr. ?

Fairytale Wedding – Check, Beautiful Wedding Dress – Check, Handsome Prince – Check, Baby  – hmmmm

Kate and William have only been married for a couple of days now and the royal baby bump watch is way underway….

Like most newlyweds, questions from your friends and family as to when you will begin to have babies can be stressful, so you can only imagine how Prince William, 28 and Kate Middleton, 29 must be feeling to know that their kids could someday become royalty!

Just thinking about having babies can be an exciting and sometimes daunting task…for some women conceiving can be as easy as tossing out their contraception.  For others, reaching the goal of fertilization becomes a nightly chore, from ovulation kits to specific sexual positions.

“Reproductive function starts to decline from about age 35, although some studies show earlier decline…but it’s nothing they need to get excited about. Let them enjoy themselves for a few minutes and when it happens, it happens.” says fertility expert.

We can’t wait to see some beautiful royal babies soon!
