So in honor of my husband’s second Father’s Day we had a fun, filled weekend of…R&R and enjoyed breakfast, lunch and diner at a very exclusive restaurant called “a la casa” yep, instead of beating the crowd at our local restaurants we decided to take advantage of the beautiful NYC weather and ended up having a family BBQ, swimming at Grandpa’s pool and kicking back and enjoying a few beers…ahh pure happiness and definitely relaxation.

After much consideration of what to get my husband and what Lil B should get his dad, I came across the perfect gift online and what better way to say I LOVE DAD but a tee shirt that says it. Simply put and appropriate for all occasions.

This cute baby I love Dad Onesie ($15) was a great addition to my son’s attire after much internet browsing.  The perfect gift came from the the cool collection of  Seraya Sunshine located on etsy.com (the home for handmade designs and such).

After my tee was ordered, the Designer kindly reached out to me and offered me a better option since considering my son’s age and weight.  What great customer service thus far. Usually when you order a product online you aren’t sure if the item will look good or even fit so when the designer reached out to me with her options, I felt like I was working with a friend. The designer behind Seraya was not aware that I was a mommy blogger and wasn’t aware (until now) that I was going to do this write up.  But what kind of mommy blogger would I be without giving my readers to the inside scoop on what’s great.

So if you looking for a cute and creative gift with great customer service for both boys and girls..check out Seraya Sunshine’s site on etsy.com. Her items will be perfect for your little one to wear year round.

Just in time for Father’s Day you can download the audiobook from Audible for free the audio version of Adam Mansbach’s now-infamous children’s-book-that’s-really-not-for-kids, Go the F*ck to Sleep. And the genius voice behind the narration is none other than Samuel L. Jackson. From Pulp Fiction to Snakes on a (mother-bleepin’) Plane, the guy just brings a certain something to this four-letter word.

The audio is NSFW and also NSFK (not-safe-for-kids) so be aware whose listening before downloading.  This has to win an Emmy!

To know me is to know that I love watching Sex and the City and most of all love watching everything Carrie Bradshaw; from watching her love life unfold, fashion hits and misses to listening in on her inner thoughts.

Like many women, Sex and the City has been a part of our lives and for this FASHIONABLE FRIDAY, I dedicate it to Carrie Bradshaw.  Here’s a list of  things I’ve learned from her throughout the years.  Read on and you’ll agree.

1. Have FUN with Fashion. Who cares what’s trendy this season, know what looks good on your body.  Sorry Ladies, but Spandex aren’t for everybody.

2. Own ONE good pair of shoes.  Shoes are an investment.  Good doesn’t have to mean expensive.  But invest in good shoes, ones you can wear over and over, and that you love, that will treat you & your body great.

3. Fashion CAN be affordable.  I love that Carrie can combine a simple tee, a jacket and accessorize it with pearls and heels. Yes, even Carrie was affordable in her attires, remember with her male BFF, Stanford reminded her that she use to wear Candies.  See, Carrie knows great fashion find when she sees one.

4.  Love what you do. Carrie wrote about relationships in her column.  I write about motherhood and because of my love for fashion and pop culture I write about that too, which is why you and I are friends.  If you are a mommy blogger, continue to write about what you love…we can all relate.

I can’t tell you how both happy and shocked I was when this picture had hit the blogesphere.  Its of singer, Pink, her hubby and newborn daughter.  So what, you ask?!

Pink is revealing to us her POST-BABY-PREGGER-POUCH! an image that no other celebrity (even me!) wants the entire world to see.

Only after 5 days of giving birth to her daughter, Willow Sage, she is out on the town and obviously not ashamed of showing us the real body of a women who gave birth.  Sorry to burst your bubbles, moms-to-be, but you need to know the real deal.  You will still kinda look preggers after giving birth, yes even after pushing out your 8 pounder, there is somewhat a “pregnant pouch” this is still very visible..I know, I know, this is not what “they” tell you, but its the truth.

Sorry Kourtney Kardashian, Tori Spelling, Bethenny Frankel and celebrity moms of the like whom have revealed to us their post-baby abs…great job in getting that six pack, but this is what we really wanna see, its refreshing.
