“What life event would you whiten for in just two hours?”

With a blogger networking event and a parent/teacher conference scheduled in just a few days, this mama is well under pressure for looking good!  So when I was given the opportunity to provide you with a product review on Crest 3D White 2 Hour Express Whitestrips I couldn’t wait to begin the process and fill you in on the details as it is promised to remove tooth stains in under 2 hours, with no messy residue.

As someone who likes to smile and yap alot about my adventures in motherhood I am sometimes self conscious about my non bright white smile.  Being a mom is hectic enough so finding the time to schedule a dentist appointment for a teeth whitening process seems like torture, let alone finding the money for this expensive process is unheard of. So, when the folks at Crest sent me over a a box of Crest 3D White 2 Hour Whitestrips ($54.99, 4 treatments) to try and offer my readers a before and after post* I jumped at the chance.

Inside the box was 4 treatments (each with 1 upper and 1 lower strip). There was also an instruction manual (remember to read before applying the treatment) and coupons for future Crest purchases, one of the coupons was $7 off a box of the strips! You can’t beat that! Click here for coupons.

Ok, so far so good, now I am all set for application…stay tuned!

*Please note that this post is a testimonial before applying the treatments, check back on or before September 12 for the final reveal*

We continue to love her as the relationship columnist, Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City and now Mommy-ista, Sarah Jessica Parker is back with a new movie just for us moms titled “I Don’t Know How She Does It”.

As a HUGE fan of SJP, I am beyond excited to see her in this film, as she is seen tackling the working-mom role.

Chicago-based Radio Flyer is recalling about 165,000 Scoot ‘n Zoom children’s riding toys due to fall hazard.

The riding toys, made of red molded plastic with black wheels, were sold for about $20 at Walmart and online at Amazon.com and Target.com.

Ten incidents have been reported with six injuries including damage to teeth and chin lacerations requiring stitches. Incidents were due to the riding toy tipping over and causing the child to fall forward while riding the toy. About 165,000 units have been recalled so far.

The recalled products were sold between August 2010 through August 2011 and have the model number 711, which can be found molded on the underside of the toy.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled products away from children and contact Radio Flyer to receive a free replacement unit or refund.

For additional information, contact Radio Flyer at (800) 621-7613 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit the company’s website at radioflyer.com.

Getting Jennifer Aniston’s GORG-EOUS hair color might leave your pockets empty and a routine that is hard to maintain. And with a mom’s hectic schedule who can find the time, yet alone the money to maintain this look?

Jennifer Aniston

Well, don’t fret, looking great for LESS with NO FUSS can be achieved, thanks to great over-the-counter hair care formulas.  Who would have thought that great hair color can be done in your own kitchen sink?

As an expert of at-home hair color, I recommend buying two boxes of color.  Since I have thick hair, one box sometimes isn’t enough.    Also, be sure to read the instructions before applying.  Not one brand will be the same as the next.  One last note, be sure to protect your skin.  Wear an old t-shirt or wrap a towel around your neck and on the floor, this will catch the color and protect your skin from any drips of color.

  1. Get a long-lasting, permanent color with Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Color (shown in 93 Light Golden Blonde Honey Butter).
  2. If you have chemically treated hair try L’Oreal Paris Healthy Look Creme Gloss Color (shown in Light Red Brown/Spiced Praline 6G), its a demi-permanent color and washes out in 28 shampoos, if you are also looking for commitment-free color.
  3. For shiny & smooth hair with a hint of sheer color, try  John Frieda Glaze (shown in Amber to Maple). It’s also great for hiding grays between coloring.
  4. For great tones and highlights try Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Color Blend Foam (shown in 5RB, Medium Reddish Brown).
